Bombardier is reaching an exciting milestone as its highly anticipated Global 8000 business jet enters the final assembly phase. The Canadian aerospace giant confirmed this key development in the aircraft’s journey toward certification and eventual delivery.
The Global 8000 is poised to become the world’s fastest and longest-range purpose-built business jet, boasting a top speed of Mach 0.94 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles. Designed to redefine luxury and performance in long-range travel, the aircraft combines cutting-edge technology with the comfort and elegance Bombardier is known for.
According to Bombardier, the final assembly process is taking place at its advanced manufacturing facility in Toronto. The aircraft will then move on to rigorous testing before its expected entry into service in 2025.
“We are incredibly proud to see the first Global 8000 taking shape on the assembly line,” said Éric Martel, Bombardier President and CEO. “This marks a pivotal step toward delivering a jet that will set new benchmarks in performance, safety, and passenger experience.”
The Global 8000 has already captured the attention of business aviation customers around the globe with its smooth ride, industry-leading cabin altitude of 2,900 feet, and seamlessly connected smart cabin environment. It also shares a common type rating with the Global 7500, making pilot transition simple and efficient.
With the business aviation market rebounding and demand for ultra-long-range jets rising, the Global 8000 positions Bombardier strongly against competitors like Gulfstream’s G800 and Dassault’s Falcon 10X.
As the first aircraft nears completion, anticipation builds around its performance during testing and its entry into service. All eyes will be on Bombardier as it continues to shape the future of long-range business travel.
